Playmemories unable to download app

I recently purchased the a and have been psyched to get stuck into some time epic lapses using the Time Lapse App. Little did I know that trying to download it would be the most frustrating experience of my life. I have tried downloading it straight to my camera through the pre-installed 'PlayMemories Camera Apps' app on the camera.  · PlayMemories Home downloads related files while the installation is being performed. Be sure to stay connected to the Internet until the installation has finished. If the Internet environment is unstable and disconnects, the installation will be interrupted.  · If the PlayMemories Home™ software does not install or operate properly, download any of the appropriate tool from below to resolve the issue. Maybe the app is great, but why is it necessary on the first hand? The whole process to buy (pay and download) an app from sony is a pain in the ass, or better an ass in my face. NOTE: PlayMemories Camera Apps cannot be downloaded and installed from countries and regions other than those listed on the page. Select the camera you are using. Click ALL All Applications in SELECT to display the model of the cameras. Turn on the camera. Press the MENU button. Select Applications. In the list of applications, select PlayMemories Camera Apps. Connect the camera to the Wi-Fi® network. NOTE: Skip this step if the camera is already connected to the wireless network. But, if the camera is not yet connected to the wireless network, choose a connection method.
